iOS Shortcut Integration

Log transactions hands-free by forwarding bank alerts to Monivera via Siri Shortcuts.

What it does

The Monivera iOS Shortcut lets you log transactions without opening the app. When you receive a bank notification, share it to the Shortcut (or trigger it from Siri) and Monivera parses the amount and merchant automatically, then opens the review screen for a one-tap save.

Install the Shortcut

  1. Open Monivera and go to Settings → Set up iOS Shortcut.
  2. Tap Get Shortcut — this opens the Shortcuts app with the Monivera shortcut pre-loaded.
  3. Tap Add Shortcut.

Using the Shortcut

From the Share Sheet: Copy the bank alert text, then tap Share → Monivera. The app opens on the review screen with the transaction pre-filled.

From the Lock Screen / Notification: Long-press a bank notification, tap the share icon, and choose Monivera.

With Siri: Say “Hey Siri, log a transaction” and dictate or paste the bank alert text when prompted.

Supported alert formats

Monivera can parse most standard bank alert formats including:

  • Amount deducted / charged alerts
  • Payment confirmation messages
  • Card transaction notifications

If an alert doesn’t parse correctly, tap Edit on the review screen and adjust the values before saving.

Multiple alerts at once

You can paste several bank alerts together (separated by line breaks). Monivera will detect each one and create a separate transaction for review.

Troubleshooting

The Shortcut doesn’t appear in the Share Sheet — open the Shortcuts app, find the Monivera shortcut, and ensure “Show in Share Sheet” is enabled in its settings.

Transactions aren’t saved after review — make sure you’re signed in to the same account in Monivera. The Shortcut uses a stored session; if you’ve signed out, open the app and sign back in.
