Dashboard
The dashboard shows your current budget period at a glance.
- Period banner — tap the month/year to jump to a different period.
- Income / Expense summary — totals for the current period, updated live.
- Budget card — shows how much of your regular and recurring envelopes you’ve used. Tap it to open the full breakdown.
- Transaction ledger — all transactions for the period, grouped by day. Tap any row to edit; swipe left to delete.
- + button — opens the Add Transaction sheet.
Adding a transaction
Fill in the Amount, Merchant, Category, Note (optional), and Date. The Recurring toggle marks a transaction as a fixed bill — it counts against your recurring envelope, not your regular one.
Use the Card / Cash toggle to track payment method.
Editing a transaction
Tap any transaction in the ledger to open it in edit mode. All fields are editable. Tap Update Transaction to save.
Deleting a transaction
Swipe left on any transaction row and confirm deletion. This cannot be undone.
Budget breakdown
Tap the budget card on the dashboard to see both envelopes side by side:
- Regular spending — everyday variable expenses (food, transport, entertainment).
- Recurring spending — fixed monthly bills set aside before the month begins.
Below the envelopes is a per-category list showing spending vs. allocation for each.
Category detail
Tap any category in the budget breakdown to see its transactions and progress bar for the period.
